I have a Spanninga Spxb (battery light) mounted to a chromoplastic fender. No issues over maybe 10000 miles. I also have a 4D Lite Plus mounted to a metal fender (maybe 3000 miles on this one). The "roll bar" does have some scratches, so it'd doing its job (no scratches on the lens). I think that I bang the light sometimes while locking up and so forth. The light works fine, except that the inline connectors I installed to make it easier to disassemble the bike are unreliable. I plan to rewire with a continuous run from headlight to taillight, which will solve that problem. The only times I've noticed myself scraping the lights have been when hanging the bikes up: I roll the bike on its rear wheel up to the hook and, if I'm not careful, scrape the light on the floor. I think that most fenders, plastic or metal, will support a generator taillight. They're very light. Use fender washers to spread the load. --glenn West Chester, PA, USA -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
