I do apprieciate all the imput. Many times I ask questions that I already
know the answer too. There is no real answer.

For me---

My AHH is the best riding bike bar none I've ever sat upon. It feels quick
and handles like a dream.
I'm 6'5" tall and 225lbs ... I find it climbs great out of the saddle and
with the change in attitude about riding and gear has put the joy back in
for me.

This includes the son28 hub and edulux head light.

My Bombadil is now lighted the E3 triple supernova arrived today and so I
can get on it and go anytime I want. With Albatross bars I'm finding even
while still dialing the fit in that it's wonderful.
Yes with 700x50's it's not as fast but feel great. I have quill stems and
find them very stable. If I am jumping logs or something (I'm not) then
yes I want my 5 inch travel duel suspension mountain bike... as a tour bike
/ shopping bike / cruiser the Bombadil bar none I've ever gotten my hands on
is exceedng all expectations.

It photgraphs well too!

It may be my height that this is the first time I've had bikes I could get
the handlebars up.. have capacity and some speed. But the Bombadil isn't
fast.. but is much nicer than my giant ocr I mentioned earlier or original
post. There may be bikes that do individual things better or that might be
faster.. but these too bikes the AHH and the Bombadil have shined for me.

A note.. my wife test road a Hilbourne and was ready to sell her 50cm extra
light dura-ace Merlin she loved it so much.. quill and all. We didn't sell
her Merlin.. she ended up ordering an Atlantis.. and will probably end up
with a Roadeo later.

I don't know what make the Rivendell ride what it is and till don't.. maybe
it was the elves... I just know I'm glad I have them.
