I do not understand the rationale behind Riv's retreat from 650B in

I wonder about this too. In terms of optimum tire pressure/rolling
resistance for rider weight I _believe_ 650B makes even more sense for
larger/heavier folks like me. (6'2", 210 lbs) I am SO pleased I found
a 62cm 650B Saluki, which feels fantastic with Pari-Motos for me. Were
I looking now for a new Riv there'd be nothing for me in the
production frames.
Though...I think all of the tire pressure graphs (Jan Heine's in BQ,
other online sources) are based on 700c tires. It'd be interesting to
compare the actual volume of a 650B 39mm Pari-Moto with a 700c 32mm
Gran Bois Cypres, for example. What's that geometric figure, a torus?
Lots of variables... I guess you'd have to calculate the volume of
both the rim and the tire above the bead. Too hot here today to
contemplate how to do that....
Ahhh...google is my friend. Someone has already thought about this: <http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrjoeball/4525757561/
