Thanks, Lee! Not overboard at all. ;) These will be going on my Homer. I currently have just the rear rack installed with an Arkel Tail Rider and I switch back and forth between a side pannier and a messenger bag depending on my mood. Usually I'm only carrying clothes and other odd/ends for the day, no touring, strictly commuting.
I'm looking for durability, comfort and speed, probably in that order. But speed is still important, just the least of the three. In other words, I don't want something that is *noticeably* sluggish compared to the NS.
