2 cents on the Poly from VO -a build kit for $600 gets frame fork
headset seat post wheels and brakes which is a pretty bangin' deal
considering getting all that stuff separately is more like $750.
Granted after you do all the outfitting you can still make it a spendy
bike but you could also do it up pretty cheap (1x8, tourney RD, Wald
bars etc.) and have a nice utility bike.  Not associated with VO just
like their stuff

Would be interesting to see what Grant's vision of either a
inexpensive lugged or a suggestion of a affordable TIG steel bike
would cost, but for now I very pleased with their offerings and I
eagerly await the AMOS/San Marcos while I lust after Orange Sam H's
