I use GK pedals with Keen Coronado Cruiser shoes and love the combination. I wear size 10.5 on the Coronados. Sometimes the rubber front/tip of the shoe rubs the crank arm if I pull the feet in too much, but they grip wonderfully (almost like 5/10 shoes) and are very comfortable. Haven't tried them on a longer ride yet, been using the 5/10 Activator 2 but my feet hurt after a while on those. The 5/10 also fit very well on the GKs.
Haven't tried any other pedals, but now cannot go back to SPDs. I tried once and was astonished at how constricted I felt by being unable to move my foot around.
