That is part of my desire over the years to divest myself of cycling encumbrances (except multiple bikes): mirrors, helmet, gloves, padded shorts, special jerseys, sunglasses -- tho' I have, shamefacedly, gone back to SPDs and Looks and thus special shoes. I tried mirrors once upon a while, and found myself looking backward anyway, "just to be sure," so I gave them up in any case.
