I have had the conversation with Doug before... It seems to me that the more technologically advanced bicycles become (i.e. full sus) and the more protective gear that a rider wears(chest protectors and shin guards....really!??) that the less respect that rider has for the trail, and the bigger his or her false sense of security is. Bicycling (to me at least) has always been about the journey, not the destination. Anywhere that I could go on a bike I could also go in a car much quicker, but to me that's not the point, I don't enjoy the trip nearly as much as I do from a bike saddle. -Andy
