Matt: The Carradice SQR system works well for (1) holding the bag off your thighs, (2) holding it high if you have limited saddle-to-tire clearance, and (3) giving you an easy-to-use QR system. I use the SQR on 2 bikes at the opposite ends of the design spectrum: 700C X 29.5" Matthews "road bike for dirt" and 20" wheel Dahon Hon Solo. And I've used the SQR system with Carradice bags on many other bikes. Worth checking out, IMO.
