Thanks, Rob. Good information.

I was just sitting here wondering whether there isn't something
better, that would never have to be re-applied, like some kind of
primer or paint. We don't repaint the frame twice a year, so why
should we have to recoat the inside? Considering the bi-annual hassle,
it seems it would be cheaper and easier in the long run to tape up the
frame, fill it with primer (powdercoat?) to coat it well, drain, clean
and be done.
