Going out to the garage with a machinists ruler, I find that putting the center of a crank arm flat on the table and measuring the gap between the table and the center of the pedal hole yields these numbers;
Sugino XD2 27 mm Late Model Ultegra 20 mm Vintage Shimano 600 12.5 mm. Pretty wide spread. No pun intended. Total Q will depend on BB length of course. You need enough so the inner chain ring clears the stay, but no so much that the front derailler cannot shift to the larger chain ring, or that yields an impossible chain line. Is there some sort of comprehensive table on this data? ________________________________ From: Michael Hechmer <mhech...@gmail.com> Both the Cospea and and the White are lower Q than the XD2, which I also appreciate.
