I have a 65 cm Rambouillet that I bought from the original owner about 4 years ago. The previous owner said that the chain stay dropout had broken and that it had been repaired by Rivendell and that they had repainted the entire frame including the fork at that time. The bikes wheelset and drivetrain are original, the rear hub is 130.
The bike has plenty of normal wear but the previous owner and I have stayed on top of ,regular maintenance and it is a definite joy to ride. The previous owner had been hit from behind by a car and the seat stays were a bit bent as a result of the accident. I was able to get the seat stays bent back into shape by using my body weight to cold set them. You cannot tell that they had ever been bent. I have not had any further issues with the dropouts. I also have an AHH which is a gorgeous bike but not quite as sporty a ride as the Rambouillet. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
