Gotcha. The memory of riding SS mountain bikes a couple of years ago at the US Whitewater center in Charlotte NC (what a blast) was the trigger that caused me to start thinking about this t ole SS thing. Though my riding will be on paved greenways and roads 90% of the time, I agree that a different approach is required -- but thankfully it becomes natural after a very short time -- which is part of the point -- and I hope -- more fun -- less thinking, more doing.
