There's no worries with re-shortening, but I recommend getting a good pipe 
cutter for the job. I paid $35 at Home Depot for one which seemed like a big 
stack of cash, but it sure makes for a clean, precise, "looks stock" cut. Then 
bevel the edges with a file and you're good to go. I've done this twice to 
Bosco Bars which were WAY too long for me.
