It seems that all the 7 speed combinations are still available.

That's not the case with 8, where many of the original combinations are no longer being offered. I'm personally very pleased that after many years of unavailability, the 12-32 8 speed that was originally issued as an XTR has been re-issued by SunRace. I'm using it, customized into a 13-32 by the simple swapping of a 1st position 13 for the standard 1st position 12 on my new 1963 Jack Taylor.
