Paul Racers should work fine with SRAM road brake levers or brifters. AFAIK, although Shimano has slightly changed the cable pull of its road brakes in recent generations, neither SRAM nor Campagnolo has changed theirs. SRAM and Campy brake levers have the same short cable pull they've had for years, at least since "aero" road levers came out mid-80s.
