Hi, I went through the same dilemma and test rode both.

Clem - is longer stretched out, heavier tube gauging, hunqapillar fork,
more tire clearance

Appalosa - a bit less stretched out (not by much), i believe a bit lighter
tube gauging, atlantis-heavy fork, smaller tire clearances

I would say the Clem rode more stately - almost like a fast MTB cruiser (i
loved it), and the appaloosa rode more like a traditional road touring
bike, but kind of a cruiser

I ended up going with the appaloosa, mostly due to sizing options, and the
fact I don't do too much off-roading anymore. i plan to run 27.5x2s on my
appaloosa and 27.5x2.1s knobbies for more dirt stuff.
