Thanks for all the feedback so far. I will say that the Clem would be used
on days of more significant snowfall, so I am considering more off-road
oriented tires as well.
Looks like the Nokian W106 and the Schwalbe Marathon Winter 2.0" are on my
list. Possibly Schwalbe Ice Spikers.
Also considering the 45nrth Nicotine:
http://45nrth.com/products/tires/nicotine - fenders would need to come off
for that one.
My commute starts with a few miles of gravel/dirt trail - I haven't checked
yet but I'm guessing that doesn't see any treatment during the winter for
snow removal - followed by 10 miles of semi-side streets that will have
more residual snow/ice than main thoroughfares.
Since I already have a bike set up with ~40mm studs, I'm inclined to have
the Clem set up for more extreme winter conditions.
Anyone have experience withe 45nrth tires or Schwalbe Ice Spikers?
I guess this would be a WTB as well is anyone has something to sell.
