I've sorta' been making the transition back into SPD pedals after a decade riding in Vans and Birkenstocks. I'm finding that when I'm trying to really put some energy into going up a hill, I pull up so hard on the backside that my rear tire is lifting up off the ground. Might want to work on my technique a little...
