Hi Everyone! Grant Petersen wrote an article titled "S20Os: Bicycle Camping for the Time Challenged" that was published in Adventure Cycling's Adventure Cyclist magazine in January of 2007. The link to the article is here: http://www.adventurecycling.org/resources/Petersen_S240s.pdf
If you're not familiar with Adventure Cycling, in my opinion, they are a very BOBish organization. They're all about getting people on bikes - in fact, their mission statement is " to inspire people of all ages to travel by bicycle for fitness, fun, and self-discovery." While the organization is the only one I know of that has guided "expedition"- type trips, they also have shorter organized tours along with a 45,000 mile network of mapped routes in the US. The routes are both point-to- point and loops, and you can make a ton of loops out of the point-to- point routes. They're good people with a good mission, have been at it since 1974, and support the same sort of things that we do here. Their mission and vision statements are here: http://www.adventurecycling.org/whoweare/mission.cfm I hope that all of you are able to ride all you want to in the coming year.
