My brother and I did a little errand ride on our Rivendell road bikes on Christmas Eve. He was on his Road Standard, running 23mm Continental Grand Prix 4000s and I on the Romulus with 35mm Paselas. His Road is set-up very light, and the Romulus is nearing its heaviest but most trail-worthy incarnation:

Seems like the Roadeo is the logical next step in the evolution in Rivendell's "road" bike thinking - and a nice way to split the difference between the Riv Road and Rom/Rams.
