Thanks for the cue sheet, Steve.
Much easier to read.

Rambouillet doesn't have fenders yet. Need to get some 28mm tires for enough clearance.

Hopefully I will be on my fendered Bleriot.
I will have on an orange safety vest I bought from RUSA, says "Randonneurs USA" on it. Say "hi" as you all pass me. I am slow.

I've done this ride many times. One time I was riding a bike with my then-brand new Berthoud bag. A paceline of people with club jerseys went by and as she passed me, one woman snarkily asked me if "I had my little dog Toto" with me in the bag.

The following year, it rained in the morning. I was at the Goodwill Store water stop and there she was, with a bunch of her mates, in those same club jerseys. She was covered with road spatter, and I overheard her telling her friends how she had a bit of a skid and barely caught herself because of "mud on the road."

I walked up to her and told her that before it had gotten on the road, the last place that "mud" had been was inside of a horse, and that regardless of the spatter on her body and on her face, she would be all right as long as she did not lick her lips.

If it rains up there, you /really/ want to be on a bike with fenders.
