My 1996 A/R is 753 frame with 531 fork. Much the same as the OP's except with 26" wheels which was standard for all sizes of A/R, at least initially. But Grant did "semi-custom" orders frequently in those days. There were even a few Waterford-built Riv cyclo-cross bikes, one of which was used very successfully here in Minnesota. In '96 the W-ford builts were $1400, about $1900 in today's dollars. That was before all Rivendells were full customs, with all the fine detail work and the Joe Bell paint jobs.
