You don't mention anything about the steering tube, fork crown, head tube 
surfaces so I'm assuming that it shipped with a headset installed. 
 However, even it it did, I found out the hard way on my Ram that the fork 
crown seat for the bottom cartridge bearing was not cleaned of paint or 
primer and I had a hell of time getting it off when it came to replacing 
the old one after it had gone "index."  Someone should have sanded the 
paint off and greased the steering tube before installation.
