One of the Jagwire brake cable and housing kits, I think the MTB ones, come with Nosed end caps and a length of the thin tubing. Mine was black though. As you run the cable an housing to the first stop the nosing goes past the stop, and then you thread on the sleve, and then the rear cable housing goes on, kind of like stringing beads. In theary it keps the water and dirt out of the housing and protects the top tube. Black on black looked good with my cross check, not sure where to find Gray. I have been using the jagwire stuff for a couple of years now, pretty nice stuff, from the pics on the riv site I think they are using it as well. Give them a call.
