Valid point, for sure. Not worrying damaging about an expensive bike is something I should get over. Working on it, and I imagine it will get easier as the hunq takes on more beausage. Here in Los Angeles, theft is a very real issue. I've had 2 bikes stolen, both locked in and with the best locking methods. I doubt I'll ever be able to leave a riv locked up at night for very long. And for that I need a respectable beater.
