Long time Rambouillet rider on a bit of a custom build I did myself: 9 speed ultegra components on a ritchey cross wheel. Typically I'm riding 32 vittoria randoneurs but I'm currently gearing up for a 350mi tour over hardpack gravel and looking at my tire options. I want to put cyclocross with Kevlar reinforcement on the bike.
I really like the continental cyclocross ride tires riv is selling, which they say come out to being 38-39mm in practice, but I'm worried the frame can't handle them. Any guidance? I've got tektro Quartz r730 brakes with no fenders so clearance looks good there. And my wheels would take them no problem. Just not sure if the frame clearance is sufficient. Also wondering about any rack recommendations you guys might have. Probably looking to Frankenstein something together for a front rack and upgrade my rear rack to something nice. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
