RE: the Ed Felker post. Wow 1200k! I am just getting my toes wet into Randonneuring and struggled on a recent 120k with 4800ft of climbing. I cannot imaging how to get enough fitness to do a 1200k! I am puzzled.
Back on topic: It would be nice to have a Riv dealer close by, so I would be confident they were handling Rivish repairs competently, instead of bringing a 650b wheel to a 700c dealer and wondering are they overtightening the spokes when truing, etc. Not that a 700c dealer couldn't do it right. But I don't know if it takes any particular experience or not since most stuff these days is carbo700c.
