Yes, brake reach may be a problem. Measure the reach now, add 38 mm (622 - 584).
The Tektro 800a has long reach, but it's not a great brake. You may not be satisfied with their capability. Also, be warned that the 800a is backwards. The cable exits on the left shoulder of the caliper, versus the right shoulder on just about every other sidepull ever made. This can make for some weird, crossover housing at the seat cluster. The reach of the 800a is 78 mm, while the DC 750 has marginally less at 75 mm. MAFAC Raids have 83 mm of reach, if you can find them.
