I've toyed with the idea of a ti seatpost for my Bombadil. Not for the weight-savings necessarily, but for the security. I've come down pretty hard on the seat sometimes on slippery roots (have you ever been violated by a B17?), and although I know the nitto Al post is strong, I don't want to push it. I know a guy who broke his butt- bone while riding down a paved bike path because his seatpost broke.
