Beautiful Bikes! At the bike shop at which I used to work we used to always wipe down customers' bikes with Lemon Pledge as the final step of any tune up/overhaul/major service. Customers always really appreciated it, even if they didn't know quite exactly why their bike looked so good. We felt that if they are dropping that kind of dough for (in reality, usually) quite simple (to us, at least) work, we owed them at the least a bit of "WOW factor..."
I also used to intentionally leave a teensy bit of green Park grease somewhere subtle but conspicuous (like a bit of seepage around a brake cable barrel adjuster) juuuust so's they knew we did something. I'd also adjust the cables with the barrel adjusters two turns out, rather than screwed all the way in, so the customer could have a bit of tweeking room to get the feel "just right." The little things count, and go a long way! Cheers- Mike in Htfd CT -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
