Thanks, David.  I'm not usually a fan of red bikes, but the pearl/metallic
darkish red is so much deeper than a solid red color.  On last year's
TOMRV, I met a gentleman riding a Waterford custom rando that was the same
Imron color (garnet metallic, I think), but without any cream contrast
panels.

The paint on my '97 Riv is original and has a couple flakes and surface
rust spots.  I should get it repainted, but I couldn't imagine it would
turn out as nice unless I spent Waterford or Joe Bell money on the
re-paint.  Which would be more than I paid for the whole bike!

But that's my MO, I guess:  buy cheap and invest.  I spent $75 on my KOM,
and just spend $300 for the bead blast and clear coat re-finish.  :)
 Totally worth it.
