Very good. Even though I'm not 'grossed out' by the look of my food, it is incredible how my appetite has changed over these last few weeks. I'm eating very little, but I'm never "hungry". I can tell my stomach is empty, and if I haven't eaten in 12 or 14 hours I'm cognizant of it, but I'm not famished, and best of all I'm not light headed. Without ever really knowing anything about blood sugar or insulin or anything I've always used the common phrase "I've got low blood sugar" to describe that I desperately needed to eat something, like a snickers bar or similar. That feeling is gone. I'm basically eating when I feel like it or when I think I ought to put some food in. I feel like now I know what Deacon Patrick has been talking about all this time. It's only been 3 weeks, and 8 lbs have disappeared, and I'm not starving myself. The only discipline is that I haven't eaten any bread, no corn, no pizza, as little carbs as possible. Salad, roasted veggies, fish, eggs and yes, bacon. Homemade chocolate, macadamia nuts, fresh berries. Nothing terribly weird. The weirdest thing for me has been taking Grants advise and putting a LOT of cream in my morning coffee. I've always drank black coffee.
For context on my weight loss. I'm 5'10" 45 years old. I feel like 170 is a good weight for me, and have considered 180 as the line between "too heavy" and "acceptable". I think 160 for my body type would be ideal and would be where I'm back in my college body. Three weeks ago I weighed in at 183, and this morning I was 174.5. As long as it's easy, I'm going to keep it going.
