"Since I don't need the last word...can we agree to wrap this up on this
forum by, say, Monday Noon? Whatevs-----"

Agreed, as the OP, I was hesitant to post this here as I assumed
(correctly) that this would thread would devolve as it did. My original
questions were merely asking for those who had experience with a similar
diet that Grant discusses. I wasn't really asking for judgement calls from
those who do not have experience with this diet... However, everyone is
entitled to an opinion.
I'll restate my original questions (though I've received an adequate number
of responses on & off list):
Anyone follow a similar diet?
Your general experiences?
Your reasons for adopting this diet, and your experience in the transition
period?
Difficulties?
What would you bring on a lengthy bike ride (bike-related!) or overnight?

If you have a response to these questions - please respond directly offlist
either as a PM or to daban...@gmail.com.

I agree with Grant that this thread should be wrapped up, and any debates
about diet practices should be directed directly to Grant at his given
email for his book, or directly to those you'd like to have a conversation
with, all off-list.

This thread has given some lively discussion. It started as an OT post (my
fault), but has gone even further off-topic from the RBW-OB typical
discussions.
So yes, let's wrap this up by Monday.
Thanks for all the discussion.
