I have had terrible luck with my Chaco sandals recently. It's like my foot
has changed shape and the straps just dig into my foot at various points
eventually causing blisters. They used to work well for riding, but now I
barely ever put them on for even walking. My feet are a mess though. I call
them flinstone feet since they are very wide, but not very long. It's tough
finding good shoes for them and honestly I'm a good candidate for custom
shoes/boots.

I have a pair of Asics running shoes that are wonderful on the bike with
thin gripster pedals. Light and airy and grip the pedal well. I also have
ridden in Doc Martens, Keen hiking boots, Rockport shoes of various flavors
and they all seem to do well with those pedals for commuting or shorter
rides.

If I'm riding the Roadeo I use Look clipless pedals with Sidi shoes....an
awesome combination.
