Call Riv ! I ran into this same issue a few years ago and they very kindly sent me some round spacers n/c . I'm pretty sure they were the same thickness as the one's in your pic, or darn close.
Yeah, the standard Sugino rings mess up the spacing big time compared to stock Sugino rings that come with a "regular retail complete" crank. Unfortunately as far as I know you can't even buy them singly. You can buy either that standard rings, or the high end ones, but not the ones that came with my XD2 152mm crankset.
