Thanks, all, for the nice comments. I've finished wrapping the bars. No twine for the moment. Now, I love twine. I have twined before and will twine again. I twined and shellacked the wrapped kickstand. But I'm not yet sold on the 46 cm Noodles, so I think of the present configuration as a trial run. I'm used to narrower bars with a rando curve in the ramps. Also, I wanted to try the twineless (sp?) wrap mentioned on the Velo-Orange blog, where one wraps toward the lever from both stem and end.
