I pretty routinely ride 70+ miles on my Albatross bars with no issue (longest ride 95 miles, including a 400 mile tour/ 5 day). I can't say if they are any slower over the longer distances because the bike they are on is so much different than any other bike I have. I had moustache before the Alb's and they didnt work for me. I felt like the bars went down where I wanted them to go up, and up when I wanted them down--- and I just couldnt get them comfortable. The Alb's fixed that. I have seen a few people with upside down moustache bars for the same reasons.
On the longer rides, I find the more upright position less taxing on my upper body- and the more aggressive position great for harder efforts. Would I race on them? No. But for me, they are the best all round bars I have used.
