Aaron, if they're looking for club ride bikes, then I presume there's a club 
local to you/them?  I'd ask some female club riders where they got their bikes 
and see if it's a shop you can comfortably recommend to your friends.  
Otherwise, and on topic, it'd be hard to beat those sale Rambouillets or a 
SamHillbourne from Riv mentioned by someone earlier...
