Thanks for the info.

I was reluctant to scrub the bags with soap, as I had read that may  
remove the wax/waterproofing.  Do you think that applying the Filson  
wax yourself does as good a job in repelling water as the original  
finish?  I guess I am a little worried that I won't be able to treat  
the bags as well as the original maker.

Who made the Baggins bags originally, anyway?
