Thanks Patrick - I have another similar fixed/free bike - currently in
re-hab due to the car-port incident, so that lead me to this version.
The bars may look high, but they feel great to me on top or in the
drops. I probably spend more time on the hoods than anywhere else, but
I'm liking the feel of the drops more with this one. The decals were
fantastic to apply. Easy to position and burnish on (I used the shaft
of a screwdriver). They lay really flat, with no clear "overlay" past
the letters to lift up or look cloudy. Each letter is a separate
decal, but the carrier holds everything together until they are stuck
down. The seat tube decal that wraps around and overlaps with the
letter R is a nice touch. Rocky - I use a Brooks on another bike, but
I actually prefer the Avocet, and it is leather after all...if
anything I may spring for a Brooks Flyer, but I'm in no hurry.
