I did for a while. I found that if I was in an upright state where my
back didn't quite form the right shape then my lower back was taking
all the impact and not in a good way.

I think it's called something like not forming a lordosis or something
like that.

If you get stretched out or DOWN far enough your back  stretches and it's okay.

alternately, if you get them further back toward you you can sit
extremely upright (think piano lessons) and then your lower spine
doesn't take all the brunt of the shocks.

It takes some time.
