I read that test and have seen references to supposed poor performance with
the longer-reach brakes and really have had the opposite experience.

Have to say that the long-reach Silvers on the Hilsen stop plenty fast. Nose
wheelies are fun. Less hand pressure than the canti's on my Quickbeam, as an
example. I have to "gear down" when making the switch.

Maybe I need to ride faster. ;^)
