At some point, I think there was a RR column where they mentioned that part of the construction procedure. Driling/tapping the headtube probably one of the trickier things to get right - especially since virtually no one does it anymore. Slightly off can be crazy-making, and once you poke the holes through, there's not a whole lot you can do to fix it. It also requires a very small screw, using very thin threads. Easy to strip out. Otherwise, you are using rivets, which can look pretty cheap. There was a recent thread where it was suggested that double-stick automotive grade trim tape was used. I'm with Chris - it's kind of a high-class problem, if that's the worst issue. - Jim -- Jim Edgar cyclofi...@earthlink.net Cyclofiend Bicycle Photo Galleries - http://www.cyclofiend.com Current Classics - Cross Bikes Singlespeed - Working Bikes Send In Your Photos! - Here's how: http://www.cyclofiend.com/guidelines "There were messengers who named their bikes, but Chevette never would have done that, and somehow because she did think about it like it was something alive."
