This is also true. SpamAssassin is though (because it is heavily perl based) 
quite slow. I find that taking a couple of seconds to scan mail is far too slow 
for me. And I cannot afford that delay at all. That was my reasoning for 
looking in the direction of SA. 
But you are right, it could be a whole manner of things...
