Tom, thanks for your opinion, it is appreciated and understood. But that does not yet answer my question, can it be done? I have users that want it and want to know if I can generate the notify for those users. I as the admin have no right in making decisions on behalf of the user (at least that is how we position our service) and intend to make it optional for them if they want it.

There is a very good reason to NOT send notification to all: Almost all virii/trojans/worms these days do not contain the e-mail address of the _real_ sender. Neither my clients nor I need or want to be notified that someone else sent you a bad e-mail. If it is important to you to notify, take the time to study headers and notify the abuse folks of the ISP the real sender is using. To the admins (me for one) of busy servers, these false notifications become SPAM ... completely meaningless, unwanted and time consuming.
