Tom, I agree, but I have users that want to be notified that they had an
email destined to them and it was stopped for AV reasons, how would you
propose to answer this request?

I have no plan to notify the sender, rather to notify the recips, of course
assuming it is a valid recip address which my system will do when passed
down the queue...

Regards,
Shannon

***PLEASE*** do not do this! There is a very good reason to NOT send
notification to all: Almost all virii/trojans/worms these days do not
contain the e-mail address of the _real_ sender. Neither my clients nor I
need or want to be notified that someone else sent you a bad e-mail. If it
is important to you to notify, take the time to study headers and notify the
abuse folks of the ISP the real sender is using.

To the admins (me for one) of busy servers, these false notifications become
SPAM ... completely meaningless, unwanted and time consuming.

Thanks in advance!
