Hi all,
I just bought a Sophos license and I saw that sweep/sophie is capable of scanning mail messages with any type of attachments.. ( ZIP, RAR, TNEF, etc ).
Looking at qmail-scanner source code, the function deconstruct_msg does a lot a things that is apparently unnecessary if you are using Sophos. Someone could just send the raw message to it and Sophos will do all the dirty job for you. This will be a real performance gain !!
Could I just bypass deconstruct_msg and call sweep/sophie directly ? Am i missing something ?
