PyMOL Users, We have a user reporting problems with picking atoms using PyMOL 0.86 under linux with the Xig drivers, with both the Oxygen GVX1 and the Radeon 7500. Has anyone else come across similar problems with any other configurations? Have solutions been found?
Do people have Xig-based systems running in which they can pick atoms? PyMOL uses chroma-keying for atom picking, and is thus susceptable to driver or hardware-level glitches in color rasterizatin or pixel-to-memory copies (for example, the Radeon 8500 was broken in this respect and required a special work-around). I don't yet have a test machine set up with Xig, so I can't currently follow this up... Thanks, Warren
