Personally, I am not interested in answering vague questions from someone who boots into the GUI and then wonders how to make things work. Sending him to win-modem.org to make his modem work would probably be pointless. I thought that he would get the point - that this is open source software and it implies a contract that the user would go to the efforts to learn to make things work and there are many of us who will help.
